Sharjah 24: The activities of the second edition of the Arab Heritage Film Festival (AHFF) kicked off on Khorfakkan Beach, with a remarkable turnout from lovers of heritage.
The opening included a speech from His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), the Artist Director Abdullah Al Junaibi, head of the festival, Dr. Hind Esmat Yahya, head of the festival Jury, and Dr. Islam Ezz Al Arab, founder and director of the festival.
This was followed by a video presentation by the jury, film and photography competitions, and then the film "Living Memory”. The activities of the first day were concluded by honouring supporters of the festival.
His Excellency Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) pointed out that the importance of AHFF, which concludes its second edition in Sharjah, from 18 to 21 October, bears one of the Arab heritage figures who devoted their lives to serving and preserving heritage, the late Professor Dr. Esmat Yahya, reflecting the significance of documenting heritage.
