Sharjah24: Iman Turki, Head of Programmes at HPD at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, said that among the activities carried out by the department during October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by providing many activities, lectures and virtual seminars with the participation of elite doctors at the University of Sharjah and Medcare Hospital, which were organised in both Arabic and English with the aim of targeting women and the general public to raise awareness of the risks of breast cancer and how to detect it early.
Turki indicated during exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, in addition to virtual lectures, that the Friends of Cancer Patients Association of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs provided examinations to more than 1,400 people in various regions of the emirates of the country, including the Emirate of Dubai, Sharjah, the eastern regions and the central region, stressing that these examinations will continue to be provided to all members of the society.
