Sharjah 24: Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) organised a virtual lecture entitled "The Document and Truth.. Reading in the Historical Writings of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah ", presented by the researcher, Ms. Khawla Al Aleeli, to community members including researchers and those interested in history and documentation
At the beginning of the lecture, Al Aleeli explained that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah is a role model for all history researchers and authors. His Highness was able, within a few decades, to present to the Gulf Historical Library huge important and valuable repertoire for the Arabian Gulf reader, in addition to provide them with many documents and manuscripts witnessing the region’s events.
During the lecture, the sources of documents that His Highness relied on in his historical writings.
Al Aleeli explained how His Highness dealt with documents through comparing sources in order to build a new historical discourse that serves the historical identity of the Arab Gulf.
