SIH to launch 4th Cultural Heritage Award in July

Sharjah 24: At the Arab Heritage Centre, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), presided over a meeting of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage's Board of Trustees, where they discussed the upcoming introduction of the fourth edition of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage.
Members of the Council were present for the discussion of the agenda.

The Chairman of the Award's Board of Trustees announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage, which is a translation of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's vision to preserve Arab cultural heritage and disseminate the ideals of heritage restoration.

Aisha Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Director of the Arab Legacy Centre, said that the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage aims to create a place where Arab cultural heritage can be kept and passed on to future generations.

The $54,000 award, which was first launched in May 2016, covers cultural heritage preservation, narrators, research, and studies, among other things.
