Sharjah24: Dr Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, was hosted by the Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) as part of the "Narrator's Story" initiative, which aims to shed light on Sharjah personalities who have left indelible fingerprints on the emirate's history. Salah Salem Al Mahmoud, the Authority's Director General, and a number of officials from several departments attended the session to shed light on her journey to success and accomplishments.
Al-Mulla began the session by discussing her upbringing in Sharjah's Al Sharq neighbourhood, which is located on the Gulf Sea's coastlines, and recalled a number of incidents that remain vivid in her early recollections and had a significant impact on the formation of her personality.
Al-Mulla began her schooling at Asmaa Primary School, then transferred to Sharjah Preparatory School and then to Al-Zahraa High School before enrolling at the UAE University, where she majored in business administration and economics. Al Mulla earned a master's degree in social work and family counselling from the University of Sharjah in 2014, and a doctorate in applied sociology with a focus on development policies from the University of Sharjah's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences in 2020.
Al-Mulla discussed her career path, which began as a teacher, progressed to deputy principle, and then to principal. She spent a good portion of her speech on her time as the first female president of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah.
She stated that God has blessed the people of the Emirate of Sharjah with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, as they provide grants, opportunities, and generous giving to the people of the emirate Emphasizing that the duty of today's generation is to promote the Emirate's development and advancement, as well as work to pass on their knowledge and sciences to future generations, in order to ensure the Emirate's development's continuity.
Al Mulla thanked the Sharjah Document and Archives Authority for taking the lead in convening meetings and sessions to keep up with the emirate's growth, secure the preservation of the emirate's past, and pave the way for a brighter future.
By saying that she feels the new working generation in Sharjah government is very appreciative, Al-Mulla concluded by saying that she hopes the wise leadership's favour would be returned in kind by the new working generation.
