Al Suwaidi said that among the projects that SDPW has completed is the new branch of the Department of Economic Development (SEDD) in Al Jaradiyah off Khorfakkan West Ring Road, which was completed within the framework of SDPW projects that seek to provide and deliver the best services to the beneficiaries.
Engineer Mohammed bin Yarouf, Director of Branches Department in SPDW, explained that the project is built on an area of 5752 square metres, and the building was designed according to the Islamic architectural style similar to the government buildings’ style of Sharjah, preserving the traditional design, and using modern building elements, components and systems that are environmentally friendly.
The building consists of two floors; contains the director's office, meeting room, lecture hall, support services offices, administrative offices, reception halls and customer service. Two separate sections have been allocated to serve the Department's employees and customers. The women's section has a nursery for children.
Bin Yarouf stated that the interior design of the building took into account serving all segments of the society, especially women, the elderly and people with disabilities, by providing special entrances and internal elevators.
Engineer Alaa Al Jarwan from the Khorfakkan branch pointed that the new building is a new addition to the city of Khorfakkan, and is located next to the government buildings with their Islamic architectural styles, forming a beautiful urban and visual painting that pleases all those who visit this road.
Al Jarwan added that the building was designed according to the highest standards of architecture and engineering, taking into consideration the harmony with the local environmental surroundings combining modernity and originality, which turns it into a distinctive architectural masterpiece.
