Sharjah 24: The wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, expressed her pride and happiness at the women cultural presence to the UAE Women Writers Forum, currently being organised by the Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher said that she is glad that women of the emirate and the UAE participate in this national literary event, and share their creative and intellectual experiences that reflect the community’s interest in culture and knowledge, deriving from the UAE cultural identity.
The wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that the success of a creative writer is a beginning towards representing their own community in the Arab and international fora, whereas Emirati women have created and communicated their voice to the world by translating their works.
Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher praised the meeting of many generations in the forum, starting with those who represented the generation that participated in the establishment of the Emirati cultural scene; those who completed their path through learning, specialisation and talent; and the new generation guided by the previous experiences to participate in this inspiring cultural foundation.
Her Highness hoped that educated women would continue to inhale culture, and open up to the latest developments in science provided by libraries in universities and communities, so that the UAE would radiate the names of inspiring writers who improved readers’ literary artistic taste, and left their footprints to be proud of in present and future.
The Cultural and Media Office continued to present the activities of the sixth UAE Women Writers Forum, where the second day of the forum included two sessions via Zoom platform.
The first session was entitled "Emirati Novelist Texts: Experience Features", moderated by the Emirati writer and storyteller Fatima Al Hudaidi and hosted by the two writers Fatima Al Mazrouei and Nadia Al Janahi.
