Omaima AlAni, Consultant in the DFDC, indicated that the initiative includes preparing an open interview with a group of Sharjah youth to find out the problems they encounter in adolescence and the role of parents in improving their abilities to confront these problems in which a questionnaire will be prepared to list the problems of adolescents with their parents and work on solving them.
Team of Specialists Dr. Amal Al-Nimr, a psychology and family counselor at the DFDC, stressed the department's keenness to deal with all family issues that are constantly received by the DFDC, through a specialized team, working to activate the "prevention" function as the third function of psychology counseling after the function of “treatment” and “development”. She pointed out that in the recent period, the administration received a lot of special family problems. The department proposed an initiative to discuss the causes of adolescents problems from the point of view of the teenagers. Therefore, it was proposed to implement the idea in the Youth Shura Council in Sharjah as a model for the teenagers to consult with them about the causes of problems.
