Sharjah 24: The Friends of Arthritis Patients Association of the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah announced the names of the winners of the Smart Joint (Aman) Award.
The award is one of the association's initiatives launched in cooperation with a number of government entities and the private sector in UAE. The award comes at a total value of 18,000 AED, with the aim of stimulating innovation and creativity in health services to reach solutions to the most important challenges facing arthritis patients in their daily lives.
This came during a ceremony recently organised by the association via the visual communication technology, and witnessed the presence of Waheeda Abdelaziz, Head of the Arthritis Patients Friends Association, and number of top officials.
The student Shamsa Ali Al Naqbi won the first place for her smart chair initiative, the second place was Batool Kifah Al Tameemi for her smart application initiative - ARTHRHOPE, and the third place was Omohan Mohammed for her smart application's initiative, "Mifsali".
Her Excellency Waheeda Abdelaziz indicated that the award reflects the efforts made by the association in launching innovative initiatives, with the aim of supporting arthritis patients by enhancing the level of services and health care provided to them.
Her Excellency added that this is based on the visions of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
