SEWA: 47% increase in project profiles requests in 6 months

Sharjah24: The Shared Services Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) revealed an increase in the number of requests for project plans during the first half of 2021, by more than 47% in comparing to the same period last year.
The department received 6,964 requests to approve their project plans for electricity, water and gas during the first half of this year, compared to 4,734 requests during the same period last year. It also received 3,750 requests for permanent project connections, with an increase of more than 58%, and the total number of connection requests for the temporary project has received (201) applications. The Shared Services Department received 6,791 inquiries from customers via e-mail [email protected] and WhatsApp application at the number +97165026500. 

Building on this, Mariam Obaid bin Hashem, Director of the Shared Services Department, explained that the increase of the number reflects the positive indications of the economic, social and cultural development in Sharjah, emphasising that the department has soften the blow of the Corona virus effects, therefore SEWA continues to implement its development projects to meet the needs of the clients. 

She confirmed that the Department continues to study the technical requirements and facilitates procedures for all requests, noting that the department has achieved positive results in serving customers with electronic services by receiving requests via the e-mail [email protected]
