Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) discussed with a delegation from the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs (DSVA) , areas of strengthening and developing cooperation and coordination in the field of community communication, aiming to review the needs of the people and highlight the Authority's services and efforts, especially in new areas.
This came during the meeting, which was held at the Authority's headquarters, in the presence of a number of directors of departments and heads of departments, during which they discussed aspects of institutional cooperation to provide the finest community services that are provided by the Authority.
Commenting on this, Mr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Institutional Support Services at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, stressed the Authority’s keenness to strengthen relations and enhance social cooperation with the councils of suburban and village affairs, through introducing the Authority's services, events and initiatives to accommodate the aspirations of members of society.
He pointed out that during the meeting, a number of services and procedures that are provided by the Authority in various regions, as well as the challenges they face, were reviewed.
The two sides agreed on several points, most prominently the necessity of preparing a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation between the two parties, contributing to enhance coordination and identify the inquiries and complaints received by the councils from the people about SEWA’s provided services. They also agreed to hold periodic meetings and organise exhibitions about the Authority’s services, in addition to several points of agreement that contribute to introduce the services of the Authority.
For his part, Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department stressed the importance of communicating with the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority and activating cooperation with all its departments to enhance institutional communication in order to achieve an institutional partnership with strategic aspirations, aiming to meet the needs of society and develop the suburbs and villages in the Emirate.
Al Kabouri praised the efforts of the Authority and its permanent cooperation and coordination with the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs and Suburban Councils in Sharjah.
