Sharjah Institute for Heritage to partner with Akhbar El-Yom

Sharjah 24: A delegation from Sharjah Institute for Heritage, headed by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Institute, visited the Egyptian "Akhbar El-Yom" Foundation, and received by journalist Mr. Ahmed Galal, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Directors, and a number of directors and officials.
His Excellency the Chairman of the Institute and the delegation, were briefed on the various facilities, departments and sections of the institution, in addition to the cultural and media projects implemented in the Arab Republic of Egypt and abroad.

Al Musallam listened to detailed explanations about the Foundation's media and cultural achievements; and the services in the field of printing, publishing, distribution and organising exhibitions, in addition to future projects to be implemented.

Al Musallam discussed with Akhbar Al-Yom Chairman of the Board of Directors ways of joint cooperation.

Al Musallam gave a presentation on the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and the Institute pioneering efforts in documenting the UAE heritage; allowing communication and interaction with cultural, scientific and media institutions, referring to the Institute’s experience in the field of publishing.  He also introduced the Institute services provided to researchers, scientists and educational institutions, which made the Institute, within a few years, a heritage, cultural and academic institution with a unique orientation.

Al Musallam stressed that Sharjah Institute for Heritage is an academic cultural and heritage institution that works to implement the insightful vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at preserving, documenting, collecting and safeguarding heritage, through academia, professional diplomas, and training workshops.  He noted that programmes, events and activities organised by the Institute throughout the year, are an important pillar that promotes the Institute’s vision and mission.

Al Musallam pointed out that publishing is one of the main pillars, through which the Institute builds bridges of cultural communication and enhances joint cooperation with institutions inside and outside the UAE.

The visit comes on the sidelines of the participation of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in 52nd Cairo International Book Fair, from June 30 to July 15, 2021.
