Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) organised a panel discussion on the launch of the "Emirati Encyclopedia of Traditional Crafts, Professions and Industries", written by the author and researcher Hassan Al Ghardaka.
The event witnessed the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Hassan Al Ghardaka, author and researcher, and Dr. Mani Bounama, Director of the Content and Publishing Department at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam said that "The Emirati Encyclopedia of Traditional Crafts, Professions and Industries" adds to the local culture, as it adds an important publication to the library, whereas the encyclopedic work, lexical work or dictionaries are considered as sources not references.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam pointed out that the exerted great effort will be very important for collectors, as they learn more about the world of traditional crafts and professions in the UAE.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam expressed his thanks and appreciation to the researcher and his effort to publish the encyclopedia, consisting of five parts, to provide a rich source for the history of Emirati professions and crafts.
