Sharjah celebrates 4 cultural pioneers in Jordan within SCHF

Sharjah 24: Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the ceremony of the fifth edition of the Sharjah Cultural Honouring Forum (SCHF), was held on Wednesday at the Royal Cultural Centre in Amman, Jordan.
This came in the presence of Hazza Al Barari, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture in Jordan, deputising for the Jordanian Minister of Culture, His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Culture, His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Balushi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Jordan, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture and Dr. Salem Al Daham, Director of the Royal Cultural Centre. In addition to the honourees Dr. Ibrahim Al Asafin, Nayef Al Nawaisah, Suleiman Al Qawabah, and Hisham Odeh, along with an audience of Jordanian writers and families of the honoured.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, delivered a speech stating this event is part of the cultural activities and initiatives in which the highest meanings of fraternal cooperation is evident. This has cemented the depth of historical relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under a rational leadership that understands the importance of Arab integration at all levels.

His Excellency Al Owais added that Jordan is witnessing a new cultural initiative, which is added to the series of cooperation between the Sharjah Department of Culture and the Jordanian Ministry of Culture over the past years, which is part of a new cultural initiative by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as His Highness stresses the importance of the role of the Arab intellectuals in building and preserving society.
