Sharjah 24: In response to the public's desire, the Sharjah Youth (SY) affiliated to the "Rubu' Qarn" Foundation for the Industry of Leaders and Innovators announced the extension of the period for receiving artworks and artistic participation in its second edition, "Art for All," until Saturday, July 31, 2021.
In the same context, Sharjah Youth organised three workshops in plastic art presented by the plastic artist Taleen Balian, as part of her keenness to support the talents of young people aged 13 to 18 years, male and female citizens of the United Arab Emirates and residents. The aim is to train them to master Diverse artistic skills that encourage them to participate in the "Art For All" exhibition creatively. In addition, qualify them to express art within exhibition theme, youth, and preparation for the fifties, the Emirates between past and present, and the Emirate of Sharjah.
In the first workshop, entitled 'Sharjah Deserts,' the participants learned the skills of drawing an abstract painting of the desert dunes of the Emirate of Sharjah and its scenic views on canvas material using the drip molding technique. It depends on acrylic colors and wooden sticks in adjacent coloring points, increasing or decreasing them according to shade and light. They also trained in mixing acrylic colors by adding white to the primary colors to create an attractive color gradation.
In the second workshop, 'Abstract Art in Arabic Calligraphy,' the participants learned skills of applying gold leaf technology in designing an abstract art painting in Arabic calligraphy on a black background. Firstly, writing words in different designs from the participants' imaginations, identifying them using white chalk, and then copying them on a black background. Finally, adding an adhesive substance to the words and finally placing gold leaf on it shows a creative work with an aesthetic value.
As for the third workshop, entitled 'Abstract Art and Sharjah Beach,' the participants were trained to form artistic paintings inspired by natural materials in the style of mixed media, with resin that adds stunning effects to the artwork. The participants learned skills of mixing shells and sand with colors and resin to form Sharjah Beach in style Innovative.
