Sharjah24: Under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Sarhan Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Kalba Municipal Council, and His Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah, the two sides held a joint meeting, on Monday, in Kalba.
His Excellency Hashem Al Bairaq, Vice Chairman of the Council, said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the meeting discussed a number of environmental issues and aspects, including the phenomenon of oil pollution, encroachment on old trees, and the problems of sea fishing and recreational surface fishing.
Al Bairaq stated that the meeting resulted in a number of important recommendations related to enhancing and highlighting the eco-tourism components of Kalba, and the resettlement and preservation of perennial trees in their natural environments.
His Excellency stressed that the recommendations will be studied and implemented by the competent authorities in the near future, calling on the public to abide by the rules and regulations to preserve the environment and the civilized appearance of Kalba.
