Sharjah24: Her Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah, confirmed that the environmental distinction that Kalba is rich in makes it a unique destination for eco-tourism in the Emirate of Sharjah and the whole country.
She said in statements to “Sharjah 24” on the sidelines of a coordination meeting organised by the Kalba Municipal Council in cooperation with the authority, that the two sides discussed a number of common issues, including some environmental problems, and ways to address them.

Al Suwaidi reported that the authority is studying the use of a specialised company, to proactively monitor the oil pollution affecting the beaches of some cities in the emirate, via satellite, and to develop radical solutions to this phenomenon.

Her Excellency pointed out that Kalba is witnessing a huge urban development, accompanied by a qualitative leap in eco-tourism projects, which are filled with a number of natural destinations, and a number of tourism facilities.
