Sharjah Sports Summer's "A Holiday Reimagined" programme entered its third day on Wednesday at Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, featuring a range of activities that combined learning, sport and entertainment.
Participants spent the day moving between labs and workshops covering wire art, media and content creation, and graphic design, alongside sessions on artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. The variety gave members a taste of skills well beyond the usual summer camp fare.
Football, basketball and jiu-jitsu remained firm favourites on the sporting side of the programme, with members throwing themselves into matches and training drills amid plenty of noise and energy from the sidelines.
Engineer Mane Al Naqbi, Director of "A Holiday Reimagined" at Al Hamriyah Club, said engagement has kept climbing as the programme moves through its schedule. He pointed to this as proof the initiative is doing exactly what Sharjah Sports Summer set out to do: giving members a summer that's genuinely varied and worth their time.
