This programme prepares them for their fourth year of study at the University of Exeter, enhancing their academic and research readiness and providing them with the necessary experience in a global educational and research environment.
The programme includes a series of orientation sessions to familiarise students with the academic and research system and explore available educational opportunities. It also features a diverse range of scientific lectures, workshops, field trips, and practical activities. Students participate in research experiments that include collecting and analysing samples from coastal areas, applying modern methods in environmental monitoring and data collection, and working within specialised teams on joint scientific projects. This enables them to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical applications, develop their research skills, and learn about the latest scientific practices in the fields of marine sciences and aquatic biology.
The programme embodies an extension of the academic partnership between UKF and the University of Exeter, and reflects their commitment to providing an integrated educational experience that combines academic excellence, practical application, and openness to international expertise, contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres in the fields of marine sciences and aquatic life, capable of contributing to scientific research and supporting environmental sustainability efforts at the local and global levels.
