Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council hosts forum on women’s achievements

Sharjah 24: The Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, under the Districts Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Ladies Club – Dibba Al Hisn branch, organised a dialogue session, on Tuesday, under the title “Women’s achievements between past and present”. The session aimed to highlight women’s contributions to national development and showcase pioneering experiences reflecting their active role in diverse fields.

The discussion was moderated by Safiya Al Nuaimi, Council Official, with the participation of distinguished women who shared inspiring perspectives on the journey of Emirati women and their multiple roles in driving societal progress.

Emirati women’s role in heritage and values

In the first segment, entrepreneur Fatima Mahmoud Al Amiri discussed the historical contributions of Emirati women in preserving national identity and authentic values. She emphasised their essential role as partners in raising generations and instilling responsibility and belonging to society and the homeland.

Women in entrepreneurship and economic empowerment

In the second segment, entrepreneur Naeema Al Zaabi spoke about women discovering their talents and transforming them into successful businesses. She stressed that women’s economic empowerment enhances community sustainability, calling for greater support of female entrepreneurship initiatives and a balance between heritage and innovation across sectors.

Leadership in education and student development

The third segment featured Nawal Ibrahim Al Sakkar, Head of the Educational Committee at the Council, who highlighted the pivotal role of Emirati women in education. She explained that education remains the key gateway to empowerment, as women’s prominent presence in the academic and teaching fields has helped shape a capable, creative, and responsible generation.

She also noted women’s role in nurturing student leadership by guiding young talents towards national service through educational activities and leadership programmes that instil values of loyalty and belonging.

Active participation and recognition

The event witnessed wide engagement from attendees, whose contributions enriched the dialogue with further ideas and experiences. Alongside the discussions, interactive draws and an exhibition of family projects and products showcased women’s creativity in various fields.

At the conclusion, participants expressed pride in the achievements of Emirati women across generations, affirming their vital role in nation-building and shaping a prosperous future. The Council honoured the speakers in appreciation of their contributions and extended thanks to the Sharjah Ladies Club – Dibba Al Hisn branch for their effective partnership.
