The programme provided participants from government and semi-governmental entities in Sharjah with advanced academic and practical experiences to enhance institutional performance and leadership capabilities.

The delegation, led by Mariam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Support Services at SCCI, and including Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Sharjah Training and Development Centre, also visited the UAE Embassy in Madrid to review the programme’s achievements and to learn about the embassy’s role in supporting national interests abroad.

Participants met senior officials from the University of Navarra, including Vice President Jaime Garisa del Barrio and Dr Ramzi Jazmati, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, to discuss expanding academic and training cooperation and to develop joint leadership programmes.

The itinerary also included visits to the Navarra Chamber of Commerce, the government investment arm Sodena, and BeePlanet, a company specialising in advanced energy storage systems and the reuse of electric-vehicle batteries.

Mariam Al Shamsi said the programme exceeded expectations by equipping participants with strategic insights and strengthening academic partnerships, while Amal Al Ali noted that the initiative reflects the centre’s commitment to delivering immersive training experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.

This year’s programme brought together representatives from a range of government and semi-governmental entities across Sharjah, reflecting the emirate’s continued investment in leadership development.
