Al Dhaid Date Festival to launch on July 23

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced during a press conference held on Wednesday morning at Expo Al Dhaid that the 10th Al Dhaid Date Festival will launch on July 23. The festival will see significant participation from date palm owners from Sharjah and across the UAE, and will feature numerous events, activities, and competitions over four days.
The press conference was attended by officials, media representatives, and date palm owners.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that this year's festival will be exceptional, both in terms of the number of participants across its various categories and the prizes offered. It will also see participation from local and federal institutions.

Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi explained that the festival’s organising committee decided to add new categories to the competitions, and to add new varieties of lemon and fig trees, which would allow farmers to showcase their products to other farmers.
