The competition provides an interactive platform that allows participants to transform their everyday thoughts and observations into creative stories. Entries are divided into three age categories: 6-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-18 years.
Marwa Al Aqroubi, President of the UAEBBY, stated that every child has a story worth telling, and that the competition serves as a space where the participants can pour out their inner creativity and emotions in wordings, a stage where they can speak their minds and express. UAEBBY seeks to empower children and young people to build confidence in their ability to transform their ideas and imagination into writing, carrying their own vision of the world.
The submission deadline is July 31, 2026, and the stories must be in Arabic and genuine, with the option to include illustrations to support the text.
The submission is on UAEBBY website.
3,000 UAE dirhams is the prize waiting for the winners from each category, in addition to a collection of books and a certificate of appreciation, with the winning works being published across the campaign’s digital platforms.
