Sharjah24: Alia Obaid Al Khayal, Curator of the Sharjah Archaeology Museum, confirmed that the Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA) has designed a comprehensive summer programme for children aged seven to 12, combining learning, discovery and entertainment through a series of interactive workshops and activities hosted across its museums from 13 July to 20 August.

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah24, Al Khayal said that the Sharjah Archaeology Museum is offering educational workshops introducing children to the importance of archaeology and the methods used to document discovered artefacts in a simple and engaging way. The programme also includes activities covering a range of scientific fields, while the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation is organising interactive workshops that familiarise children with the exhibited artefacts, their history and the proper ways to handle them.

Al Khayal added that the programme at the Sharjah Aquarium gives children the opportunity to explore marine life and fish up close. She explained that these activities combine education with entertainment, helping children make the most of their summer holiday in an enjoyable and rewarding way.
