Sharjah24: Awladuna Centre for People of Determination highlighted the creativity and capabilities of students with disabilities through a specialised exhibition held in collaboration with Awladuna Consultancy and Training, marking the conclusion of Autism Awareness Month activities.
Held in Sharjah on 10 May 2026, the exhibition reflected the remarkable level of empowerment achieved by students through structured rehabilitation and training programmes. It served as clear evidence of the centre’s commitment to developing practical skills and fostering independence among people of determination.
Students demonstrate practical skills and creativity
The exhibition went beyond displaying artworks and handmade products, transforming into a real-life experience in which students presented the outcomes of their efforts and training. Their creations reflected carefully developed skills, strong learning abilities and a clear capacity for productivity and community participation.
The event carried a profound humanitarian and professional message, emphasising that genuine empowerment of people of determination extends beyond inclusion alone. It is rooted in meaningful investment in their abilities and the continuous development of their skills to ensure long-term independence.
More than 25 years of specialised support
For more than a quarter of a century, the centre has continued providing specialised services based on the highest scientific and professional standards, with the aim of improving the quality of life of people of determination and their families while equipping them with the tools needed to face everyday challenges confidently.
Commitment to sustainable inclusion
Maha Khuzami, Director-General of the centre, said such initiatives represent a leading practical model that combines awareness and rehabilitation simultaneously.
She stressed that the true measure of success goes beyond symbolic participation, focusing instead on the level of skills acquired and the student’s ability to apply them effectively in both personal and professional life.
Khuzami also reaffirmed the centre’s commitment to continuously developing its programmes in line with international best practices, supporting comprehensive inclusion and aligning with the UAE’s vision of building a sustainable and inclusive society for all.
