This event is part of its ambitious strategic plan and ongoing efforts to hone the skills of promising generations and develop their abilities in various individual and team sports.
Kalba Youth Centre hosted the championship races, which saw the participation of 70 members from the eight Sharjah Youth Centres spread across the Emirate of Sharjah, in its various cities and regions (Central and Eastern). The races took place amidst a spirited and competitive atmosphere, serving as a true test of the participants' will and determination to achieve excellence with record-breaking times.
Participants competed enthusiastically in the championship races, which included 16 events ranging from freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke to various distances, as well as relay races. This provided an opportunity for the participants to showcase their athletic and physical capabilities and demonstrate their exceptional abilities in different swimming strokes.
The championship results saw Ahmed Fikri from the Al Dhaid Youth Centre win the Best Swimmer Cup in the 13-15 year old junior category with 37 points, while Ahmed Amir from the Wasit Youth Centre won the Best Swimmer Cup in the 16-18 year old youth category with 35 points. The championship reflects Sharjah Youth’s pursuit of the continuous development of its sports programs according to a comprehensive methodology based on empowering members and refining their skills, which contributes to preparing a generation capable of competing locally and regionally, translating their passion for sports into tangible achievements on the ground, and establishing the concept of competition as an educational and cultural value.
