The Sharjah team, which consisted of six players, delivered an outstanding performance, finishing sixth in the group race following heated competition that revealed the team's advanced talents and high level of preparation.
Hassan Ismail Al Hosani earned the first gold medal in the 100-metre sprint for the under-14 category, while Rashed Al Askar won the second gold in the 3-kilometre long-distance race for under-15s. Zayed Al Naqbi and Humaid Ismail added to their score with silver and bronze medals in the same race and category.
Representatives from the International and African Canoe Federations, as well as the UAE Canoe Federation, praised the squad and its coaching staff for their outstanding performance and professionalism during the event.
