Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Culture has released issue 74 of both Al Sharqiya and Al Wusta magazines for November 2025. The two issues focus on topics highlighting the growing developmental scene in the Eastern and Central regions.
Al Sharqiya magazine

The “Achievements” feature in issue 74 of Al Sharqiya covers exhibitions organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aimed at supporting and enhancing economic and investment activities in the Eastern region, and the accelerated developmental momentum it is witnessing at all levels, thanks to major projects launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

In the community interviews section “Path to the Summit,” Dr Batoul Omar Al Ansari, a leader in the health sector, was featured. In “Authentic Features,” Sabeel Murad talks about Khorfakkan, its people, and the districts of Sharq, Husi, and Burdi. In “Raising Generations,” we meet teacher Nahed Mohammed Saleh Al Kaabi, who has built an exceptional path in caring for and educating people with disabilities. In “Work,” Sheikha Ali Obaid “Um Salem” is featured as one of the pioneering women in heritage preservation.

Through photo reports and investigations, the magazine visits Khorfakkan Square, highlighting its cultural appeal through its fountains, heritage sites, and natural scenery. The “Drinks” feature discusses the 12th Kalba Short Plays Festival.

In “Path” and “On the Way,” two students from Dibba Al-Hisn are featured: Maryam Al Naqbi, a researcher and PhD student in Tokyo, exploring literature and sustainability, and Alya Al Kindi, sharing her journey of excellence, creativity, and awards.

In “Heritage Descriptions,” the magazine discusses plants with nutritional and medicinal benefits. “Memory” explores old wooden doors as symbols of identity and the spirit of place, while “Biography” examines the life of Juma Al Marashda in Kalba.

Al Wusta magazine

Issue 74 of Al Wusta focuses in its “Achievements” section on the most notable construction and development work recently carried out at Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track, transforming it into a vibrant hub that tells the story of ancestral sports. The track underwent significant upgrades, including the preparation of tracks and facilities.

In “Work,” Rashid Al Ketbi introduces the “Mughaider” stable, which has become a training and heritage destination.

Photo reports and investigations visit the Al Zaabiya area as part of Al Dhaid’s history. The “In Focus” section follows local festivals and exhibitions, including the fifth Al Dhaid Dates Festival, known for its diversity, and the fourth edition of the Asail 2025 exhibition, both held at Expo Al Dhaid.
