Al Hamriyah Municipality celebrates UAE Flag Day

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality has launched its prominent national initiative, “Our Home Proudly Bears the Flag”, for the ninth consecutive year on the occasion of UAE Flag Day, observed every year on 3 November. The municipality began distributing UAE flags to residents and government departments in the area to strengthen values of loyalty and belonging to the nation.

Celebrating patriotism and unity

Through this national occasion, Al Hamriyah Municipality emphasised the significance of the event, highlighting its special place in the hearts of Emiratis. Flag Day offers an opportunity to demonstrate pride and love for the UAE by raising the national flag, a symbol of unity and belonging. The day also promotes values of loyalty and national cohesion, fostering solidarity among different segments of Emirati society.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, stressed the importance of active participation in this national event, noting that Flag Day symbolises the strong bond between the wise leadership and the loyal people of the UAE. He added that through this noble initiative, residents and institutions collectively reinforce national loyalty and preserve Emirati values and traditions.

Al Shamsi highlighted that this national event contributes significantly to building national awareness and strengthening identity, particularly among the younger generations.
