SDHR hosts ‘Leadership in Times of Change’ session

The session featured Colonel Dr Samah Khamis Al Halyan, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Sharjah Police General Headquarters, who presented a comprehensive overview of leadership and empowerment within workplace environments. He explored global and digital transformations and their implications for institutions, emphasising the need for flexibility, innovation, and preparedness to sustain government efficiency amid future challenges.

The discussion formed part of the department’s broader mission to promote institutional excellence, enhance leadership capabilities, and strengthen innovation within Sharjah’s public sector.

The session addressed several key themes, including leadership and empowerment concepts, leadership in workplace environments, global and digital transformation, and practical challenges and opportunities. Participants also discussed future foresight and the importance of building adaptable and resilient institutions.

His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Department of Human Resources, affirmed the importance of such initiatives in supporting the emirate’s strategic vision.

“These sessions strengthen Sharjah’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and leadership within government work, preparing national talent to lead change and keep pace with rapid global developments with efficiency and impact,” he said.
