The session was presented by Lieutenant Haifa Khalifa Al Tamimi, Director of the Personnel Affairs Branch at the General Command of the Amiri Guard, and reviewed several key topics related to the concept of talent management. It addressed the definition of talent and latent potential in individuals and how to discover them, the role of leadership and management in activating these potentials through modern tools and strategies, and the challenges that may hinder the optimal use of human resources. It also highlighted the importance of corporate culture in creating an environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
The panel discussed the role of technology in enhancing the effectiveness of talent management, highlighting successful models and experiences from real-life situations, leading to the development of mechanisms to ensure long-term sustainability.
The panel was organised as part of SDHR's efforts to support the Sharjah Government's vision of investing in and empowering human capital, thus establishing a culture of institutional excellence, stimulating job creativity, and enhancing the quality of government services. Through these dialogues, the department seeks to develop the institutional work environment and find practical solutions to leverage competencies and achieve sustainable performance.
His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the empowering human capital, emphasised that organising such sessions reflects the department's commitment to enhancing the readiness of government human resources and developing their capabilities in line with the emirate's vision to build a flexible and effective work system. He pointed out that empowering national talent and harnessing their potential represent a fundamental pillar of the sustainable development process witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah.
