Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) began a series of specialised training workshops on Monday, September 8, 2025, aimed at explaining the changes introduced in the executive regulations of the Human Resources Law, issued under Decree No. 2 of 2025. These workshops are specifically designed for HR and legal department employees across government entities in Sharjah.

Emirate-wide coverage to ensure broad participation

To ensure full participation from all regions, SDHR is organising the workshops across various cities in the emirate, including Sharjah City, Khor Fakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Kalba, and the Central Region. This widespread approach allows representatives from diverse government departments and institutions to benefit from the training.

Expert-led sessions to clarify key amendments

The workshops are being led by Ibrahim Obeid Al Rubari, Head of the Supreme Human Resources Committee Affairs Section, and Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Bouhendi, Legal Research Executive at the Human Resources Systems Department in SDHR. Their sessions focus on explaining the key updates to the executive regulations, highlighting the differences from previous versions, and guiding participants on how to implement the new provisions effectively.

Supporting law implementation and HR excellence

These workshops are part of SDHR’s efforts to support government HR departments in understanding and applying the law correctly. The sessions aim to ensure optimal implementation of the legal articles and improve the overall efficiency and clarity of HR operations across the government sector.

Reinforcing human capital as a development pillar

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of SDHR, stressed that the workshops reflect the emirate’s vision of investing in human capital as a key driver of sustainable development. He noted that the new amendments are a qualitative leap in administrative development, enhancing workplace standards in line with international best practices.

Promoting legal transparency and administrative efficiency

Al Zaabi also affirmed SDHR’s commitment to ensuring the clarity of legal texts, protecting employee rights, and reinforcing institutional responsibilities. These efforts aim to boost the performance and competency of government staff while creating a more transparent and effective administrative system.

Strong participation and positive feedback

The workshops have seen strong turnout since their launch, with participants highlighting their value in simplifying complex procedures and offering clear explanations of legal changes. Attendees praised the interactive nature of the sessions, which encouraged the exchange of ideas and productive dialogue among HR professionals.
