Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Equestrian Club is kicking off the first day of the 13th edition of the Longines Show Jumping League, organized under the supervision of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation and proudly sponsored by Longines. This exciting competition features a total prize pool of half a million dirhams.

Riders from seven distinct categories will compete for various titles and prizes, with the highlight being the final competition for first-level riders, which offers a grand prize of 200,000 dirhams.

The Longines Final includes 15 competitions spread over three days, running from Friday to Sunday, all taking place in the covered arena at the Sharjah Equestrian Centre.

Each category will host two competitions, with scores carried over to the final contest for that class, except for the Longines Final for Level 1 riders, which will see three separate events.

The first event will take place tomorrow, Friday, featuring a speed round over 140cm hurdles. Saturday will follow with a single round, maintaining the same height, and the competition will conclude on Sunday with a single round over 145cm hurdles.

For the youth category, two events are scheduled, consisting of a single round over 130cm hurdles and two rounds over 135cm. The juniors will have their events set with a single round over 125cm hurdles and two rounds at 130cm.

Second-level riders will compete in a single round over 115cm hurdles, followed by a round with 120cm requirements, and then a differentiation round. The three categories include Advanced Beginners (110 and 115cm), Beginners (105 and 110cm), and Cubs (100 and 105cm).

In conjunction with the Longines Final, ten events will be held in the outdoor sand field at the Sharjah Equestrian Center. These competitions will kick off with two special stages for 4-year-old young show jumpers, jumping hurdles ranging from 80 to 90cm. The two-stage competitions will wrap up on Sunday with a single round featuring a differentiation round for first-level riders over hurdles set at 135 to 140cm.
