Amal Abdulrahman Al Owais, Director of Sharjah Radio, emphasized that the new cycle reflects the station’s dedication to diversity, renewal, and smooth presentation styles, with carefully chosen guests who bring significant value to listeners. She thanked all government partners and praised the efforts of the radio team, stressing the station’s aim to deliver content that aligns with audience interests while reinforcing Emirati principles and values.
The programming cycle features a wide range of shows, including 14 live programs that address community issues, highlight development, cultural and economic projects in Sharjah, and create interactive spaces for dialogue with listeners.
Sharjah Radio’s key programmes include “Huna Al Sharjah,” which takes listeners on informative tours of the emirate’s projects and achievements with officials and experts and airs Monday to Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with hosts Ahmed Bouklah and Aisha Al Hammoudi; “Hiya Watan,” highlighting the journey of Emirati women across education, the economy, arts, and sports, presented by Maryam Al Ajeel every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.; “Al Qadiya Wama Fiha” (The Case at Hand), which discusses real legal issues with specialised lawyers and is presented by Youssef Al Hammadi every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.; “Watawasaw Bil-Haqq,” a religious programme led by Hazaa Al Shehhi with notable scholars every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.; “Al Madinah Al Basema,” introducing government services in Sharjah with officials and hosted by Saif Al Awadhi every Thursday at 10:00 a.m.; “Hilo Al Qaseed,” celebrating poetry and literature with the poet Ayedha bin Masoud every Saturday at 5:00 p.m.; and “Ala Al Watar,” offering rich intellectual dialogues on diverse topics with Shaikha bin Khamis every Monday and Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
The station also offers documentary-style programs, including “Sada Al Ams” (Echo of Yesterday), which explores Sharjah’s heritage, customs, and traditional professions, and “Ayn Ala Al Alam” (Eye on the World), which takes listeners on cultural journeys around the globe. “Suloom wa Uloom” addresses social issues, raising awareness about various phenomena that affect people’s lives.
In addition, Sharjah Radio dedicates space for 17 short programs and interludes, covering a variety of topics such as “Barzat Shabab” (Youth Corner), “Asrar Al Tabi’a” (Secrets of Nature), “Judran” (Walls), “Mizan Al Afiyah” (Balance of Wellness), and “Sual Qanuni” (Legal Question).
