SSSD hosts 14th Senior Citizens Forum

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, will hold the 14th Senior Citizens Forum on 2 October at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre. This year’s forum carries the theme "Sustained Giving, Lasting Leadership."

Highlighting positive ageing and global insights

The forum aims to spotlight the role of senior citizens as sources of inspiration and agents of change. It will promote the concept of positive ageing by sharing success stories from life after retirement and exploring ways to improve quality of life. Experts from both local and international backgrounds will share global experiences and practical strategies to support and empower older adults.

Exhibition celebrates senior contributions

Alongside the forum, an exhibition will showcase the artistic, craft, and heritage work of senior citizens. The exhibition is designed to encourage community interaction and highlight the valuable contributions seniors continue to make to society.
