Dibba Al Hisn club hosts lecture on communication skills

Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club organised a special lecture titled “Make Your Presence Stronger: Simple Steps for Greater Impact for Athletes”, delivered by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Matroushi, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors. The initiative came as part of the club’s efforts to develop its human capital and foster a positive work environment based on effective communication.

Key themes of the session
The lecture focused on several key themes: how to build an influential presence that leaves a lasting impression, ways to make dialogue more engaging, developing persuasion and influence skills—particularly for athletes—and the importance of good listening as a gateway to understanding others and gaining their trust. Attendees engaged actively with the ideas and practical examples presented, emphasising their value in improving communication methods in the workplace.

Recognition and participation
The event began with Dr Al Matroushi honouring a select group of employees in recognition of their dedication and efforts. The session was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al Turban, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn Football Club, Ali Mohammed Yaroof Al Naqbi, General Secretary, Saeed Mohammed Al Aamil Al Yahyai, Head of the Team Sports Committee, and Mohammed Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Executive Director.

Participants affirmed that the initiative represents a qualitative addition to the club’s efforts in refining staff skills and embedding a culture of creativity and positivity in teamwork.
