Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club has held a coordination meeting bringing together organisers and supervisors of the Sharjah Summer Sports and Cultural Programme, with the presence of Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Hindasi, Chairman of the club’s Board of Directors. The session formed part of the final preparation phase ahead of the programme’s launch, focusing on aligning roles and ensuring smooth execution of safe, high-quality activities for children and young people.

Dr Al Hindasi underlined the club’s commitment to designing meaningful summer experiences that help young participants make productive use of their free time. He pointed to a diverse programme that blends sporting, cultural, educational, and recreational elements, aimed at enriching skills and personal development. He also noted that the club will recognise outstanding coaches and supervisors at the conclusion of the festival as a gesture of appreciation for their contribution to the programme’s success.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Ahmed Abdullah Al Ghusayb Al Naqbi, presented the operational framework for the summer activities, outlining the programme’s objectives and execution mechanisms. He emphasised strict adherence to safety and security standards across all activities to ensure a secure and motivating environment for participants. He also expressed gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council for its ongoing support of summer initiatives across Sharjah’s sports clubs, as well as to the club’s management for its continued backing.

Dr Atiya Mohammed Al Sayed, a member of the organising committee, focused on the talent identification and selection process, explaining the criteria that will guide the discovery and development of promising athletes across various sports disciplines. The aim is to nurture emerging talent and strengthen both individual and team sports within the club’s system.

The meeting concluded with a field visit to activity sites and sports facilities, where organisers reviewed readiness levels and examined health and safety procedures in place. The inspection confirmed that all venues are prepared to host participants in a fully safe and well-equipped environment throughout the duration of the summer programme.
