Sharjah 24: The cultural and community committee of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held its regular meeting yesterday evening, chaired by Mohammed Ali Mohammed Al Dhuhouri, head of the cultural and community activities committee. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, vice-chairman and head of the strategic planning and institutional excellence committee, along with members of the cultural committee. The discussions reflected a strong spirit of teamwork and a shared commitment to enhancing the club’s cultural and community programmes.

Strategic plans for 2025–2026

The meeting focused on reviewing the committee’s performance indicators and statistics from the past period, highlighting achievements and challenges. Members worked towards approving an integrated action plan for 2025–2026, including a set of cultural and community initiatives designed to serve all segments of society.

Research on community culture

Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi presented a proposal for a new academic study on the role of community culture from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The research aims to strengthen national identity and document the positive impact of cultural and social activities within the local community. He emphasised that such academic efforts provide a scientific foundation to support the club’s work and open new horizons for future development.

Participation in Al Maleh Festival

The committee also discussed the club’s upcoming participation in the Al Maleh Festival, where it will organise heritage competitions and present prizes to attendees. This initiative reflects the club’s dedication to preserving traditional heritage and instilling authentic values among younger generations. Members noted that participation in national festivals is an important platform for strengthening cultural presence and supporting initiatives that combine entertainment with knowledge, while reinforcing community cohesion.

Upcoming events and innovation

Plans for future events were also on the agenda, with the club set to organise innovative programmes targeting children, youth, and families. These initiatives are designed to position the club as a hub for culture and creativity in the region.

Commitment to cultural and community role

In closing, the committee chair and members expressed appreciation for the strong support the club receives from its board of directors and other relevant authorities. They reaffirmed their commitment to working as one team to transform approved plans into tangible programmes that create real impact in society and strengthen the cultural and community standing of Dibba Al Hisn Club as a national, sporting, and cultural institution combining tradition and modernity.
