Sharjah 24: The UAE Football Association has launched a new community initiative titled "A Homeland’s Dream" to support the UAE national team, known as “the Whites,” during their journey in the Asian play-offs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. The campaign focuses on rallying nationwide support ahead of two crucial matches against Oman on October 11 and Qatar on October 14, both taking place at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.

Strategic coordination meeting held

The campaign was unveiled during a coordination meeting at the UAEFA headquarters, attended by association officials, national team staff, Emirati football legends, sponsors, sports channel managers, and members of the media and content creator community. The event aimed to unify voices and strategies across sectors to energize public and institutional backing.

Leadership support and unified efforts

Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the UAEFA, confirmed that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Association, is keen to ensure full support for the national team—including moral and logistical aid—as they approach these vital qualifiers.

He stressed the importance of cooperation among government bodies, private sector partners, sponsors, clubs, fans, and media outlets, noting that all stakeholders are contributing to a unified effort to back the team.

Creating a supportive fan experience

Al Dhaheri stated that the association aims to provide fans with everything they need to play their part during the matches in Doha. He expressed appreciation for the collaboration from all parties and highlighted the shared objective: to create a supportive and motivating environment that helps the UAE national team secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup finals.
