Sharjah24: Duaa Driidi, Supervisor of the Inclusive Education Unit at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, reported that the session titled "Connecting Policy and Practice for Inclusive Education" addressed the challenges schools face in implementing policies for inclusive education. This session was part of the 2025 Global Congress "We Are Inclusion," organised by Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in collaboration with the International Inclusive at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
Driidi stated that the Global Congress aimed to discuss the obstacles confronting schools and educational environments while formulating recommendations to promote and achieve inclusive education. She highlighted that the session featured presentations from self-advocates, officials, and stakeholders on how to tackle these challenges to provide inclusive education for individuals with disabilities and facilitate their integration into educational settings.
