Sharjah24: Dr Aisha Abu Shlaibi, Chancellor of the University of Al Dhaid, announced the signing of a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) , in the presence of Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SCHS. This agreement was part of the Global Congress "We Are Inclusion," aimed at enhancing institutional cooperation between the two parties in the fields of education and rehabilitation to serve individuals with disabilities and contribute to their full integration and empowerment in society.
In the presence of Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Global Congress "We Are Inclusion" witnessed the signing of the memorandum between SCHS and University of Al Dhaid , signed by Mona Abdul Karim, General Director of SCHS, and Dr Aisha Abu Shlaibi.
Dr Aisha Abu Shlaibi explained that the memorandum aims for knowledge and cultural exchange, as well as the empowerment and integration of individuals with disabilities in educational and academic institutions.
She also noted in statements to "Sharjah 24" that eight individuals with hearing disabilities were accepted this Semester, in addition to 27 individuals with various disabilities who have enrolled in the university, highlighting that their role includes guiding them to appropriate specialisations that match their abilities.
