Daizo passionately addressed the critical role of disability organisations in society, emphasising the need for collective action to empower marginalised communities. "We believe that disability people are integral members of civil society," Daizo stated. "It is our duty to ensure that they are recognised and supported in their fight for equal rights. Everyone deserves to know their rights and to enjoy the same opportunities as everyone else."
Highlighting the importance of inclusion at various levels—community, national, and political—Daizo said, "People with intellectual disabilities often struggle to feel like genuine members of their families and communities. Engaging in political life provides them with a sense of belonging and confidence."
She further elaborated on the transformative power of political participation, noting that it enables individuals with disabilities to advocate for themselves and assert their rights. "When they can vote and express their desires for representation, they become active citizens who can influence what is good for their lives and the society they live in."
The Congress underscored a strong message of solidarity and commitment to inclusion, emphasising that the fight for rights and representation is ongoing. As Daizo and other advocates continue to champion the cause, the hope is that more will join in creating a world where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute fully to society.
