The meeting was joined by Dr Aisha Mohammed Obaid Bukhatir Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, to review the preliminary framework of the Council’s general organisational structure. This framework outlines the roles and responsibilities that will enable the Council to serve as a guiding authority for higher education and scientific research institutions in the emirate.
During the meeting, Abdullah Al Zaabi stressed that developing a comprehensive organisational structure is a vital step in establishing the Council’s authority in higher education and scientific research. He noted that this move will enhance the Council’s coordination with universities and academic institutions, contributing to Sharjah’s regional and global competitiveness in education and innovation.
The committee reaffirmed its dedication to Sharjah’s vision of institutional development, focusing on improving government performance through the evaluation and approval of organisational structures for public sector entities. This initiative supports the emirate's efforts in maintaining a robust, efficient, and forward-thinking government framework.
