Kalba International youth volleyball tournament kicks off

Sharjah24: Rashid Saeed Al Kindi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Kalba International Youth Volleyball Championship, explained that the press conference announcing the tournament provided a comprehensive overview of the first edition, which will be held from 28 to 31 August at Kalba Club Hall. The event features Gulf national teams alongside representatives from Sharjah clubs, competing in both the Cubs and Juniors categories.

Participating teams and organisation

Al Kindi noted that participating teams include Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, and Sharjah’s representative team, reflecting a high level of competitive engagement and fostering young talent. The championship is organised in full coordination with the Sharjah Sports Council and Kalba Club, ensuring top logistical and operational standards.

The tournament focuses on skill development for Cubs and Juniors, providing a structured pathway for player growth while also promoting Kalba’s natural and tourist attractions, boosting the city’s social and economic activity alongside the sporting event.
