Al Madam pilot to represent UAE in global paragliding

Sharjah 24: Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club has announced the qualification of its pilot and air sports champion, Abdullah Nasser, to participate in three major international paragliding championships scheduled to take place in Germany from 23 to 31 August 2025. He will also compete in the semi-finals of the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup.

Nasser will take part in the following championships: The International German Open 2025, the International Friendship Cup – Wasserkuppe, and the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup – Final Germany.

The championships will witness wide participation, bringing together 334 pilots from 38 countries across different continents. Competitors will face one of the most challenging events in paragliding—target accuracy landing—which demands exceptional canopy control and high concentration under competitive pressure.

This qualification is considered a significant sporting achievement for Emirati pilot Abdullah Nasser, as he prepares to represent the UAE on the global stage alongside the world’s elite athletes in the sport.

Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club expressed its pride in this accomplishment, wishing its pilot success in raising the UAE flag high on the podiums, reflecting the remarkable progress of air sports in the country.
