Sharjah 24: On August 12, 2025, the Sharjah Women's Sports Club wrapped up an exciting International Fencing Camp that took place from August 7 to 12 at the Sharjah Olympic Women's Sports Center. This special event hosted Egyptian Olympic champion Mohamed El-Sayed, along with world champion and top-ranked U-20 fencer, Mahmoud El-Sayed, as well as eight members of the Egyptian sabre fencing team. This allowed local players to learn directly from some of the best athletes in the sport.

The camp was a significant kick-off for the 2025-2026 sports season, focusing on helping players improve their skills and physical fitness. Participants engaged in practical training to learn how to manage matches in different situations. They also had specialized lessons with coaches to refine their techniques and correct any mistakes. Additionally, attendees learned strategies for reading opponents and preparing mentally for matches.

The program included exercises aimed at boosting overall fitness and endurance, as well as practice fencing matches to see how well players were improving and to prepare them for competition.

On the last day, Dr. Sami Al Sayed, a performance development advisor at the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, praised the players for their hard work and dedication during the camp. He emphasized that discipline and consistent practice are essential for achieving success in fencing.

Both Mohamed El-Sayed and Mahmoud El-Sayed also gave an inspiring speech to the participants, highlighting the importance of focused training, mental readiness, and viewing every competition as a chance to grow. They encouraged the players to build their self-confidence and stay committed to their training.
