Sharjah Ladies Club has witnessed growing demand for its internship offerings, with participation in 2025 more than doubling compared to the same period last year. This upward trend reflects rising confidence in the Club’s role as a supportive hub for professional development.
In collaboration with leading academic and government institutions including the Higher Colleges of Technology, University of Sharjah, Ajman University, City University Ajman, Al Wasl University, the Sharjah Government Human Resources Department, and the “Thati” Programme. the Club offers hands-on training placements ranging from a few days to several months. These opportunities allow graduates to build key professional skills in communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving all within a positive and structured environment.
But the impact doesn’t stop at training. Several former interns have gone on to join the Club in full-time roles, with several advancing into managerial positions. Others turned their graduation projects into real initiatives at the Club including one standout event design concept that moved from classroom idea to full-scale implementation.
“The Club’s role extends far beyond offering training opportunities for fresh graduates — it reflects a deep, ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment,” said Ayesha Bahyan, Director of Human Resources at Sharjah Ladies Club.
“We believe in the potential of every young woman and in the importance of creating an environment that fosters creativity, growth, and leadership. We also place strong emphasis on developing our internal teams by offering continuous opportunities for learning, advancement, and professional progress. As part of this commitment, several Club employees recently completed a diploma in graphic design and animation through the Reyada Canter, a step that reflects our drive to elevate internal capabilities and embrace the evolving creative sector.
Building on these efforts, practical training at both the main Club and its branches plays a vital role in preparing young women to enter the workforce with confidence. We’ve been proud to welcome so many creative young talents and we look forward to supporting many more on their path to success.”
