Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is excited to announce the Future Engineers Camp for students aged 12-14. This camp will take place from July 7-17, 2025, at the Women’s Union Association in Helwan. Interested students can sign up through a link provided on SEWA's social media or by scanning QR codes found at the Sharjah Cooperative Society, Al Shaab Village, and other locations.

The camp will offer nine engaging workshops focused on education and culture, along with fun field trips and recreational activities. It's a fantastic opportunity for students to prepare for future careers and learn important skills. The activities are designed to help them make the most of their free time, develop new talents, and enjoy their summer.

The camp also aims to spark creativity and innovation, particularly in the area of energy. Participants will learn about sustainable energy sources, how to use energy wisely, and how to stay safe while using it.

Rashid Al Marzouqi, Director of Media and Communications at SEWA, stated that teaching students these skills at a young age helps them make environmentally friendly choices and invest their time positively. The camp represents a commitment to social responsibility.

He further explained that SEWA organizes various activities each year to help both boys and girls enhance their skills and knowledge in a fun summer setting. This is part of SEWA’s goal to raise awareness about using energy and water wisely and to explore new ideas and innovations. They believe in the importance of developing young people's personalities and supporting their talents.

Saif Al Naqbi, Head of the Education and Awareness Department, mentioned that they are looking to welcome 80 enthusiastic participants to take advantage of this unique opportunity to grow and explore their potential. The camp is designed to be an exciting and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

The workshops at the camp will cover topics like sustainable energy, the journey of electricity and water from source to consumer, energy safety, creativity, smart homes, water quality, and much more. There will also be field trips to learn about energy-saving tools, and a special outing titled “Engineers with Ambition Above the Clouds” to the Burj Khalifa.
