His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council, explained that the Sharjah Executive Council referred 10 draft laws to the Consultative Council, the most important of which was the draft law on the judiciary and judicial fees. He noted that the Council played an active role in discussing public policies and laws.
In statements to “Sharjah 24,” Al Jarwan indicated that the fifty members of the Council were a united front, and expressed best wishes for their continued success in upcoming sessions. He thanked the members for their efforts during the sessions and parliamentary questions, which were well-received by both the government and the public.
It was a busy session, with external visits, committee and bureau meetings, and some proposals submitted to the bureau.
He added that the Council had received a number of comments that were resolved in coordination with government agencies such as the Sharjah Charity International, the Department of Housing, the Department of Planning and Survey, and the Department of Social Services. Al Jarwan highlighted the significant cooperation received from these entities.
