Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved an additional amount of AED 100 million in compensation for owners of old houses in Al Madam area who had previously been granted new houses.

Initial Compensation Scheme

The relevant government authorities had previously compensated the owners of old homes with an amount of 250,000 dirhams for each home, benefiting 200 homeowners in the area, whose homes were replaced with new modern residences.

Total Compensation Rises to AED 750,000 per House

With the approval of the new additional amount, the total compensation for each house now rises to AED 750,000 — an added support from His Highness to families who have moved into their new houses.

The announcement of the new approval was made during the “Direct Line” programme broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
